Individual Care

Our pharmacists work closely with physicians to find solutions to your individual needs. We will work hard to find products, chemicals and formulas that may be difficult to obtain though regular pharmacies such as Walgreen or CVS. Our compounds will be made free from allergens, dyes, preservatives and artificial sweeteners for those with environmental and chemical sensitivities.

In addition to compounding we provide the regular pharmacy services including filling prescriptions and regular pharmacy needs.

What is compounding?

Compounding allows the physician to prescribe a custom-tailored medication that is not available commercially.

Pharmacy compounding is the art and science of preparing customized medications for patients. Modern technology, innovations and research have allowed more pharmacists to customize medications to meet specific patient needs. However compounding is practiced in less than 1% of pharmacology. Today more and more physicians and health care providers are using compounding to special need patients.

Many patients are allergic to non essential components of medications such as preservatives or dyes or intolerant to the standard dose of the medication. With a physician’s consent, a compounding pharmacist can change the strength of a medication; make it free of preservatives and dyes to make it easier for the patient to use.

What kind of preparations can be compounded?

Almost all prescribed medications can be compounded. Compounded prescriptions are ideal for patients that may need unique dosage or different delivery system from commercially manufactured dosages or delivery devices. Compounding can include: Natural Hormone Replacement Therapy, Ophthalmic, Dental, Dermatology, Chronic Pain Management, Sports Medicine and Podiatry.
